Fall outlook: trout move shallow as it cools while smallmouth and wiper go deeper. Rainbows take dough bait or worms from shore, or trolled crankbaits, pop gear or squid and dodger to 40 feet. For wiper, fish worms on bottom in the East Arm or from Taylor Hollow to the inlet. Kokanee hold 12 to 40 feet down.
Statewide, kokanee must be released from Sept. 10 to Nov. 30.
